Course Description:
Robotic Engineering club from year 1 to year 6, at The Priory CofE primary school.
Every Thursday (3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
Starting 27th April 2023.
Number of Sessions: 10 Sessions
Children years (1-2-3) will build a LEGO model, and program it, to do a mission and learn about
- Gears
- Motors
- Sensors
Children years (4-5-6) will Learn to program with BBC Microbit
In this Club, students will explore the coding concepts of events, variables, conditionals, functions, iterations, arrays, and artificial intelligence. Students will get familiar with the concept through kinesthetic unplugged activity.
Then they get hands-on experience with guided coding activities to practice using MakeCode, complete various tasks and
challenges to practice their coding skills, and opportunities to evaluate and improve existing code.
In the final activity for each of the mini-units, students will use design thinking and programming
techniques to creatively solve problems.
