ROBOKIDS

Age 4 to 6 years

Robotic engineering and programming courses for children as young as 4-6 may seem ambitious. But this is when crucial development starts. We believe it’s never too early to teach children to think like creative problem solvers and introduce them to the principles of STEM. That is what our pre-school robotics course is all about, having fun through role play and story-telling, and encouraging little ones to explore, investigate and discover solutions.

At this age children have an amazing imagination and our Lego Education based course is designed to harness this, with lots of giggles and fun.

We even see children supporting and learning from each other, displaying teamwork skills at an incredibly early age.

Skills check

  • Social skills in working with other children, helping their friends, explaining what they are doing
  • Creativity enhanced through using Lego education kits for story-telling, role play and character building
  • Early practical exposure to STEM subjects and skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths)
  • Emotional skills – building resilience, communication, being inspired
  • Coding – incorporates an early introduction to coding

ROBORANGERS

Age 6 to 9 years

Our little age 6-9 RoboRangers make fantastic students for basic robotic engineering and programming. At this stage, their minds are open to concepts and quick to learn and explore. What children of this age can achieve will astound you, as they grasp the principles of programming through inspiring, exciting, Lego-education based challenges with amazing results and lots of laughs.

Before they know it, they’ll be creating solutions and collaborating in teams, building models, handling sensors and motors, adjusting and learning as they go. They’ll be using their skills in literacy, science and maths as they follow instructions, seeing how these educational concepts apply in real-life.

And what could be better for their development and confidence than building a robot, something really cool, that they can control?

Skills check

  • Social skills in collaborating in teams and explaining their thoughts and ideas
  • Creativity enhanced through building and problem solving
  • Early exposure to STEM subjects and skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths)
  • Seeing literacy and numeracy skills put into practice and used in real-life challenges
  • Emotional skills – building resilience, communication, being inspired
  • Coding and programming skills development e.g. Minecraft, Scratch

ROBOTWEENS

Age 10 to 14 years

By age 10+ we’re talking tech savvy young people with huge potential. They’re probably already on screens more than you would like, with some understanding of programming and coding and able to tackle quite challenging Lego/Arduino projects.

This is the time to harness this passion for tech and show your ‘tweenager’ just what they can achieve if they apply their skills to practical, but fun, problems.

It’s a great time to encourage a passion for STEM subjects and demonstrate how what they are learning in school applies in the real world.

Our young students love getting stuck in to modelling, analytics and investigating,

Our courses combine critical thinking, collaboration and creativity – all skills for the working world of tomorrow. Add these to your child’s already blossoming talent and interest in engineering and tech, and the world really will be their oyster.

Skills check

  • Social skills in collaborating in teams, communicating their thought processes and ideas and being open to the ideas and challenges of others
  • Advanced creativity and problem-solving skills including using data analysis to evaluate the results of their work
  • Deep exposure to STEM subjects and skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths)
  • Seeing mathematical and scientific subjects and concepts put into practice and used in real-life challenges
  • Emotional skills – building resilience, communication, being inspired
  • Coding and programming skills development e.g. Minecraft, Scratch

ROBOTEENS

Age 15+

Our RoboTeens are at a critical stage in their educational journey and may now have developed an interest and passion in robotics engineering, technology, coding or related subjects.

But whether or not they already have their eye on a career in these disciplines, there’s much to be gained by our courses.

It’s generally accepted that we don’t yet know what the jobs of the future will look like, but that most new roles will be heavily technology based. Universities and businesses will be at the forefront of this and seek out the very best talent.

In addition to learning and developing a deep understanding of robotic engineering concepts through exciting and cool robot building, our students gain life skills as they work in teams on practical problems in real-time. This means putting forward ideas and learning to test and adapt and them, as well as collaborate in teams, learning and listening to others with respect just as they would in the real world.

Students who enter competitions enjoy a thrilling experience and test of their skills, stepping outside of their comfort zone, building confidence and gaining a sense of achievement from taking part.
